Since the mid-1980’s, AVE Gesellschaft für Fernsehproduktion mbH has been producing information programmes and talk shows, high-quality entertainment and culture programmes, as well as reports and documentaries from the fields of politics, culture, science and economics.´

For years, AVE has shown that quality and viewing popularity do not have to be mutually exclusive. In the field of talk shows, AVE has set new standards with award-winning classics such as "Talk im Turm", "Grüner Salon", "Friedman" or “Quergefragt”.

Since January 2008, AVE has been going in new directions in the field of multimedia and youth work with the Bayerischer Rundfunk and the daily programme for younger viewers "on3-südwild".Every week, "on3-südwild" transmits live from a different location in Bavaria with the topics and films of the young people and innovative networking of television, online and radio.

Over the years, AVE has produced content for the programms “hitec” and “nano” on the 3sat channel, as well as extensive scientific documentaries. For the science entertainment programme "X:enius", that we have developed jointly with ARTE, AVE has been out and about since January 2009 with the two hosts Dörthe Eickelberg and Pierre Girard in the science-mobile. "X:enius" is a road movie, treasure hunt and science programme all rolled into one.

A characteristic feature of AVE is its long tradition of documentaries and reports. Important series of reports such as "24 Stunden" (Sat.1) or series of portraits such as "Ma vie/Mein Leben" (ARTE) have been developed together with the television broadcasters.

Furthermore, AVE is one of the leading production companies in the area of classical music with major clas-sical events for the ZDF channel, series of programmes about "young artistes" for 3sat or "Klassik für Kinder" ("Classical Music for Children") for WDR.

AVE also produces motion picture content for online media. With the award-winning platform "WatchBerlin", AVE has set new standards in the field of video online journalism.
