One particular strength of AVE is classical music production. The spectrum of our productions ranges from large classical music galas for an audience of millions to classical concert recordings to sensitive and concise artist portraits. We repeatedly meet the challenge of bring-ing the fascination of music and our high level of respect for great artists to our viewers with a contemporary interpretation. There is a high degree of affinity between AVE and the young generation of artists who in the last few years in particular have been very successful in con-quering the international stage.
In the last few years, AVE in particular has produced high-quality series of documentaries about "young artistes" (including the violinist Lisa Batiashvili, the drummer Martin Grubinger or the dancer Katja Wünsche), the artists in residence at the Mecklenburg-West Pomerania Festival (including the violinist Julia Fischer, the cellist Daniel Müller-Schott or the violinist Viviane Hagner), great maestros such as Gidon Kremer or Mstislav Rostropovich and their interaction with young musicians or the series of documentaries on "Abenteuer Klassik" ("Classical Music Adventures") for a young audience with the Federal Youth Orchestra. These are supplemented by individual documentaries, individual concert recordings as well as classical music gala events.
